How to choose a hat?

Which hat style looks good on my face?

One of the most frequently asked questions about hats is "Which hat style best fits my face?". The golden rule is to wear a hat that you feel comfortable with and confident in a style that suits the occasion. There are, of course, general rules: tall people should not wear hats with small brims, and short people should not wear hats with large brims. This rule also applies to the width of the shoulders. However, this is only true to a limited extent, because as mentioned above, confidence plays an important role. If you think you would be fine wearing a certain hat, then you should wear it!

What hat colour should I use?

You should wear a hat that enhances the colour of your skin, matches the colours of your clothes, and your preference. The colour of the clothes must also be considered: the hat can match the clothing tones or be of a contrasty colour. If you have plain-colour clothing, you can wear a hat with a different pattern, and vice versa.

Where are your hats manufactured?

Our hats are mostly manufactured in Portugal. You will also find hats from all over the world. Some countries have become experts in certain types of hats, such as the UK with Top Hats or Ecuador with straw panama.

Online shopping

How can I make an order online?

Purchases in the Hats Factory virtual shop are processed as in most online stores. You should select the product you want, choose the colour, size, and quantity and add it to your shopping cart. You can add the models and quantities you want. To finish your shopping click on the item "Shopping Cart," check if the listed items correspond to that ordered and click on "Complete the order." Do you have all hats in stock?

Yes, all available hats on our website are in stock. If there is a stock break this will be indicated in the "Availability" field on page of the hat in question.

What are the accepted payment methods?

The accepted payment methods are bank transfer, credit cards (Visa / Mastercard / American Express), and Paypal.

What is the delivery time?

All our orders are shipped in 24 hours (except weekends or holidays). Check the following table to learn more on delivery time:

What are the delivery costs?

The delivery costs vary between 0 and 18 euros when shipping to Europe depending on the weight and volume of your order. This value is always calculated automatically in your shopping cart, before making any payment.

What is the delivery method?

All orders are sent by registered mail or by carrier. An email will always be sent to you with a follow-up number (tracking number) as soon as your order is collected from our premises.

What should I do if I find an error with the order?

Can another person, different from who made the purchase, receive the order?

Yes. If you wish that only you can receive the order,you should tell us by email or in the observations field in the shopping cart. If you want to send the item to your work address or as a gift to another address, do not forget to fill in the shipping address field when completing your order.

After sales service

If I don't like the hat I bought, can I return it?

Yes. We want you to be completely satisfied with every purchase you make to on the Hats Factory online shop. If you are dissatisfied with any product you ordered, we will exchange it for another of your choice. Up to 21 days after the reception of the hat, please return us the hat with the indication of your order number. If the hat is in perfect condition, you will be entitled to a credit in the hat value for a new purchase. You should send the hat to our address: Rua da Rosa, 118, Bairro Alto, 1200-383 Lisbon, Portugal. The costs associated with the return are paid by the customer.
Purchases made in December (Christmas) can be exchanged until January 15th of the following year.
